    Clive Bowman

Clive provides a reliable backstop to the racing fleet whether in his K1 or flailing around on a Laser. More seriously he is keen for the club to attract new sailing members and is active in preparing bids for grants for club equipment. He is a supporter of the clubs transition to incorporation and a club trustee.

    Rosanna Duncan

I am honoured to be proposed for the Penarth Yacht Club Committee. Having been a resident of Penarth (on and off) for nearly 25 years, and a club member over the past year, I have long valued the club’s unique position on the Esplanade and its vibrant mix of rowing, sailing and social life.

Through my career in senior executive and non-executive roles across multiple sectors, I have developed strong skills in governance, organisation and stakeholder engagement, which I would bring to support the club’s continued success.

Since joining, I have particularly enjoyed the strong sense of community—whether through morning training sessions, rowing, or quiz nights—and I am keen to build on this. If elected, I would focus on strengthening member engagement and ensuring the club remains accessible, inclusive and welcoming to all. I would also be happy to support the club’s efforts in developing funding applications where helpful.

I look forward to contributing my time and energy to help ensure Penarth Yacht Club continues to thrive as a cornerstone of the local community.

    Mike Kingston

Hi all, I'm Mike Kingston and I've put myself back up for committee this year. For the past 2 years I've helped to support the committee and the General Manager by serving on the wine committee. I've been a member of the club for over 25 years and have seen many changes over that time. I've served on committee over many years from 2008 to 2013 as committee member and subsequently as rear commodore, vice commodore and, finally, commodore for 2 years. I'm looking forward to supporting Drew and the general committee, and bringing some ideas, whilst listening to others to help move the club forward in the future.
